Shane Steichen: Daniel Jones remains Colts' starter, gives us the best chance to win
Steichen publicly backed Daniel Jones as the Colts' starter, shutting down any benching speculation.
Colts coach Shane Steichen says he isn't benching quarterback Daniel Jones.
Sharp take
Sharp SixFadeRight · −11.5 under the lineA coach saying he isn't benching his quarterback is not news, it's a press conference. Jones is sitting on a -68.1 value over replacement with back-to-back single-digit-to-mediocre outings, and now he gets to do it as a 6-point home dog in a 51.5-point game script that favors Dallas running clock. This changes nothing about his fantasy outlook. Leave him on waivers where he belongs.
