Sharp take
Sharp SixHoldThis is a headline built to get clicks, not a trade. Neither Downs nor Thomas Jr. is going anywhere on the strength of a hypothetical article, and both remain locked to their current offenses until something actually happens. Thomas Jr. carries the better profile anyway, with real value-over-replacement and a juicier role, so if either gets dealt he's the one who matters more. Hold both, ignore the premise, check back when there's an actual transaction.
Speculative — this reads ahead of what the source reported.
